If it was exactly the same but only $20 would people still gloat about it? Not suggesting it isn't delicious but the price definitely helps people feel they are eating something extra special, which is why they tell others how much it costs.

It was an experience. Hard to quantify taste, I'd say easily 2X or 3X better than standard sushi.

As with most things there are diminishing returns as you go up the quality curve.
