Autonomy is always negotiable and varying in any job. People do aspects of their job they’re not 1000% on board with every day. Having access to other people’s children and influencing their life path is a privilege and not a right. Don’t really see how you could see it as a one way conversation and not a consensus style decision.
Because some people aren't interested in their children learning the truth. I could easily find more examples of laws and parents demand that children not be taught the truth. And that's what children should be learning in school, even if it means being uncomfortable at times. The world is what it is, and attempting to deny that and bury your head in the sand won't help your child succeed in life when they grow up and fail to grasp how the world works because YOU wanted to hide that from them.
People don't get educated in public schools. Rather told how to think. Imagine going to school not to learn reading writing or math.... but gender studies and how boys can be girls and so forth.
I hope they get rid of dept of education.
While that is completely correct, and I do not stand for any of those things, you must place this in a context of a school that is funded by theft.
There is no freedom for thieves to choose how they spend what they stole.
If you wish to fund a school that teaches whatever you wish to teach then you are completely within your right and no person can morally interfere given.
