People often ask me why I do what I do and dedicate so much time to Nostr. It's really simple. I dedicate my time and energy to Nostr because I care about our communities and I put people first, knowing that when I do so, the community, as well as the entire ecosystem, will succeed. And succeed we must. Legacy social communication is bad for humanity. I truly believe Nostr is the best path forward.

It's one of the paths forward. At this early stage we need to cheer all the paths, Nostr, ATproto, Pubky, Farcaster, Holepunch, the Iroh stuff, all of it. And find ways to combine strengths, or at the very least learn from the unique advantages of each.
This whole "I won't give [insert other thing] a second thought because it's too left-leaning, or blockchain-ish, or P2P-ish, or company-ish, etc..." is definitely not the way forward.
it certainly feels good in the sense that just like bitcoin no single entity can take it over so it will become a sum of it's people
