The point is that if you can guess the identity of the owner, the privacy of Monero loses all meaning, it is an oxymoron.
Wearing monero merchandising is as incoherent as being a ninja in an orange suit and wearing a GPS chip in the clothes.
Not necessarily. I probably wouldn't recommend advertising it like this, but knowing that someone uses Monero doesn't grant you any view into their transaction history and how much they own, so it's still providing privacy.
Of course I agree with what you say about the technology, I was referring to the attitude of the users, if you use Monero for privacy you don't go shouting your holdings in the street.
