#Artstr Art club is now open!!

Thanks to #[2] for the ‘Texture theme’

Here is a piece of work I called ‘ Omaha’ is textured with wood, Silver dish mirror , chicken wire and black vandal paint.

The work is inspired by data centers around the U.S harvesting your data. The aerial view of the gives the sense of looking down onto the map of the center, the wire is not letting you get took close or access your data. The mirror let’s you look back at yourself like looking at yourself as the product. Enjoy!

Interesting! Such a neat idea 💡

Thank you! I did a whole series based on the all the data centers I could find.

I love moths even way more than butterflies. I am waiting for mine to hatch from chrysalis

I hope you’ve documented it all. Would be such a lovely image to watch it emerge.

I hope to film them for a music video, I got a tiny light box and they should be about to emerge.

Why so?

I want a moth tattoo so bad

My ex had a moth on one foot and a big beetle on the other.

Do it!

Oh I will! Priorities first tho.

Where I live there is a preserve for Spanish Luna moths, they are the most gorgeous pattern for tatoos.

Anyone here just become a massive moth fan.

I had silk moths as a child. I also find them more mystical and ghostly with their muted colours. I paint them often and they are recurrent in my songs. Here me as a moth https://youtu.be/Ys4W8KLWqwE

Wow! Beautiful! That's really cool. You should take pictures! Update us

This photo is incredible 🤩

Thank you 🙂

I was gunna write that but you seemed to have it as the title already. 💦

😁😁 it's hard coming up with titles but if I can make myself laugh it goes in for sure

Cumming makes me laugh too 🙃

Those are the fun cums🤷🏽

The best

👏👏👏

Amazing detail

Thank you 🙂

I'm liking the wide wide lens on my phone. I tried this with the super long too, tried to get a good macro looking shot with the super shallow depth of field, but the sharpness is out of wack on that lens for some reason. It needs to calm the fuck down.

Beautiful!

Thank you🙂

I call this one ‘My first vine’ #[20] might like this one.

I like the exposure.

It feels like sunrise.

Wat kind?

Just says sweet grapes. I have no idea but it’s growing fast. Do I prune?

Does video count?

I took this while bartending, a visual reminder of something I thought was cool and wanted to use in a film later 🤷🏽

Romance Idea

#video

Of course it counts.

Can you see it?

I think I need a different video upload option for nostr. 🤷🏽🤍🖤🤍🖤

Works fine my end. Looked like a couple conversing.

Making out

Snogging as you would say

Or necking

Neckin

I’d definitely say it that way.

I name a lot of surreal romance, dreamy line between comedy and nightmare where metaphors and such are taken too literally.

I took this video thinking I could recreate it in a film with a purpose. Here it was just cool looking on the wall while I was working bartending.

But a moment for belated memory and creative inspiration.

Perfect for the "texture" theme a couple weeks ago.

Make*

I like how you think about texture in that way.

I was a barman for a fair few years whilst setting up my art gallery. Wouldn’t change the experiences for anything else. So much fun.

Very very fun

How is it not texture?

Rather then the actual couple. Their silhouettes on the craggy concrete wall only broken up with DJ lighting?

So texture. No substance. Barely form.

Would you play about with the music. Like play your own track over it.

Or do you prefer the randomness that happened during that moment.

This is just a reference for later. Spur of the moment capture so you don't forget kind of thing.

When I turn it into a film it'll have it's own music and it's own context🤷🏽

I’m like this with lots of art related ideas. It I don’t record it somehow it’s gone.

I'm very visual🤷🏽

I take a lot of pictures of my own or screenshot stuff from the web as ideas and mood boards for projects later. I also steal a lot from my dreams. I think that's why I get paid for music videos so much because I have very vivid weird dreams and often I'll just take a weird dream I had and give it up that way. People are like ooh freaky fun!

But for my more serious projects. Like I make narrative surreal films not just music videos. For those I try to take these images I have in my head, it small scenes, and I just stick em in different places and try to write the stuff in-between one and the other. Make em connect somehow.

I'm working on this big idea about starcrossed lovers, a man and v someone who may be real or may be a different of his imagination. So far it's like 10 dreams I've had plus I'm straight up mixing the story of the major arcana in the tarot, Jung's interpretation of shadow work as alchemy turning excrement into gold, and a big big twist ending I've had the idea for for a long time after watching this Iranian film called the Mirror 🤷🏽

I’m going to need to watch this movie.

It's been living in my head for a long time.

I need to get it on paper first.

But it's hard when you're the only one putting deadlines on yourself🤷🏽

When I'm doing a music video and they're like ok I need the idea by Friday. I'm like oh shit and I get that shit done.

But when I'm my boss. I'm over here working on it. Then on my website. Then I'm chatting with y'all.

Thank you. Interest in my work fuels me.

Thanks for helping me test

Heading is important for video too

Works for me 😍

Great! Audio too?

Have you heard of Polly Morgan?

Yasss 👏🏻

You're neighborhood occult weirdo with his multiuser magical art at your service🤷🏽

I think I might post a couple others tomorrow for #woowoowednesday

Polly Morgan

One of my first. Went rather raw with the acrylic paint. Added more texture with masking tape on the headband, facemask and garment. Inspired by antique African tribe sculptures. #artstr #texture

Yesssss! Smashed the theme out the park. Inspired!

same - thanks for doing this fr, it pushes me look back at what i made and reminds me of how much joy it gives me to be able to just play around and create things.

It’s responses like this that make art club what it is.

🙏💜

THIS

You have to try this stuff! Go to an art store and ask about it. I forget the name. But if you're looking for more texture in your paintings they have this stuff you paint on, it comes in different grain sizes and textures, but you let it dry then you print on that and it makes textures like big wood bark, or small wood grain, or kind of like concrete.

Also different brushes can make all sorts of different brush strokes of you go back over wet stuff with. Clean brushes🤷🏽

Well said. Probably get some great advice from your local art shop. Just on what your looking for in terms of brushes and paint.

Trippy

Thanks everyone for your effort, time and contributions today for #Artstr ! Appreciate this space we have here, and all you folks that brighten up our Tuesday. 💫💜🤗🫂🎨🖌️🖼️📸 Thanks for tuning in and working with the theme I chose today. 🥰 You all rad beings. 🫶

How is Art club not making the culture section of the #[10] every week? Artists showing off their creative work should be news right?

🐌Late to the party :)..here´s my interpretations of texture 1/ from a video for a installation, defragmented flower texture

2/ mixed paint on wood. have tested texture of paint /structure with different painting tools

Better late than never. Are these paintings you exhibited before?

Mhh.. I think I still need to grow and try to find a good Work-Art balance and new inspiration to grow . But one day ..I want to exhibit.

Here’s my series of Bruised Central Bankers standing in a Flower Field 💸
