Yes, at different levels. A user is more likely to get rugged with custodial bitcoin, unfortunately.
However, most users are not keeping their life savings in a custodial bitcoin wallet that they use to send zaps on nostr and most users are not putting their fiat money in banks that are not government backed for purposes of sending fractions of a penny on decentralized networks.
You are making excuses for bragging about using a shitcoin (custodial LN). As I said, that's nothing to brag or to be proud about.

3rd parties will be used to scale bitcoin, financial institutions will not.
Bragging about the possibility of running a node is like bragging about the possibility of having sex. Only actually running a node is brag-worthy (which 99% of zappers are not doing).
Sorry to break it to you, but 3rd party "scaling" custodians are financial institutions, it's literarily the definition of a bank.
