Potatoes and onions are smaller than usual. I'd let them stay longer, but I think I'll try for a fall crop this year.
How do you deal with cucumber spiky bits? Rub them off? Leave em?
Yeah, I just rub them off when I pick pick them. I've been wearing gloves when working with the plant because it is a little spikey. I don't really have workers hands anymore.

Lol yea I know what you mean. Mine get slightly better in the summer, but barely any armor at all.
Sometimes I have a whole day of outside work ahead of me I'll rub a bunch of dry dirt into my hands for a sort of shell - works pretty well
