we talked about the concept of "private relays". another use occured to me, that being the syncing of an obsidian-like cluster of replacable articles that cross-reference one-another.

So something like a personal (public) wiki, where it only keeps your pages and anything written by your WoT

I would like that too, but I would like another version which is entirely private, but accessible and editable and sync'd to and from everywhere that I enable. like obsidian with sync, but the sync in this case is just articles on a relay. like if it were on a tailscale network or similar.

Not sure whats the best way to handle private files / data since nostr mostly deals with public events. but something like this would be very useful

I've been using Syncthing for this for years but its not a perfect solution since it makes a full copy on all my devices instead of just giving me access to my data on a remote machine

Didn't get a chance to jump in, but wanted to ask this question? How to properly use the feature for GIFs? There's a global, followers and a personal option. How does the personal work? Thanks for clarifying!

The personal option is any 1063 (file metadata) events you've published. there isn't an option to upload any right now but maybe one day in the future

Currently the gif picker is a hacky experiment, I need to go back and at least rebuild it to use the gif packs that nostr:npub1hee433872q2gen90cqh2ypwcq9z7y5ugn23etrd2l2rrwpruss8qwmrsv6 has been working on

I was hoping to connect this feature with gifbuddy. @lemon has the collection feature and I thought that perhaps this would be a perfect use case for the personal option. I don't want to re-upload the same gifs over and over. Thank you for your reply!
