I don't understand why I always have to write wss:// before a relay address. That's so irritating.

as a basic user of nostr, relays are irritating in general

It stands for web socket secure.

I am aware of that.

I'm saying it's bad UX.

Like requiring people to write out HTTPS:// before an Internet address.

Couldn't agree more. These improvements will come naturally over time. We are still early.

Nothing comes naturally, in sw development.

Put it on the road map or it didn't happen.

Wise

Most clients don't make u do this anymore..

Because the Devs are always nerds.

To be fair, I've had to write ws:// instead on occasion, and if it forced me into wss:// I'd have been screwed.

Make it an opt-in, should be standard. wss:// unless otherwise defined.

And please don't require wss:// when searching for relays, either.

very good advice👍

One of the nice things about open source is that you can just chang it. Instead of complaining.

But then it's only changed for me.

You should always upstream your changes. Unless you're a selfish prick. Or too lazy.

You think I'm going to go around to every client I use and bug-fix it?

LOL Nah
