This is not for me. I carry it around for anyone else. I’ve been sober since my od in highschool. Narcan is for life saving purposes, I’ve never in my life heard someone say any of the things you just said.
Sometimes silence is the best response
I needed consequences to get sober. That meant asphyxiating on my own vomit and needing CPR from my room mate. I’ll be sober 5 years in July god willing. Someone else quite literally gave me another chance to breathe and make a different choice. Sometimes an OD is the consequence someone needs to change their life. If I I have the means to provide that why would I deny it. Genesis 4:9

Addiction is an illness not just a “bad decision”. I may be sober, but it’s still a battle everyday. Not everyone will be perfect like you.

Bad take, there are many people in a rough place who still deserve a second chance to live. I don’t think you should be stingy with the help you can give to people in need.

I'm just not into wasted effort and resources...
I’m willing to give people a chance. I know lots of former hard drug users who are now sober. I lost a family member because of a usually -harmless drug that was unfortunately laced with fentanyl. I had someone in my life who tried to commit suicide with pills, but lived for years afterward with renewed engagement in life and gave his kids more years of love and guidance.
