Shared fictions aren't a bad thing, some would say they have enabled the most important things humanity has ever done. Some shared fictions: religions, governments, nation states, corporations. So any time you want to organize larger than a few people people you are going to need a shared fiction.

Your list of "shared fictions" are the greatest killers in all of human history. Govts killed like half a billion in the 20th century alone.
For sure, it just accelerates the impulses of mankind... or atleast the impulses of the men that hold the reins of power. I'm sure those people are God fearing, honest, moral men. So... no worries
