Shared fictions aren't a bad thing, some would say they have enabled the most important things humanity has ever done. Some shared fictions: religions, governments, nation states, corporations. So any time you want to organize larger than a few people people you are going to need a shared fiction.
Your list of "shared fictions" are the greatest killers in all of human history. Govts killed like half a billion in the 20th century alone.
