OSS or FOSS?

OSS is fine for me. FOSS would be preferred.

Everything they will be releasing is going be fully FOSS after beta from what I’ve gotten through numerous conversations. I think it’s slowing them down though. It’s be going faster if they sparked a dev community around it early, imo.

They (mafintosh who appears to be doing all of the work) have open sourced lots of the tools keet uses but afaik not the app itself. They've been promising it for a long time. I had it installed but then removed it and just use magic wormhole. Mixed feelings on Carvalho and co

On Android, wormhole william is basic but gets the job done

Hmm. Interesting. Guess i just wait.

What is wormhole william?

All the protocol is open source, only the Keet app specifically isn’t fully yet but they have been planning to for a while. Right now “Pear Runtime” is scheduled for public release on Feb 14th and that’s what they’ve built Keet on. At that point I’m pretty sure the intent is to have it all entirely open source with that launch.

Looking forward to it!
