Cold-pressed olive oil is so tricky to pair with other food. It's so grassy that you can't put in salads without mixing with other stuff to mellow it out (which defeats the purpose). Even some breads don't go well with the oil. It's bizarre. It should work, but it doesn't.

Don’t buy olive oil from big brands (Bertoli), best buy Spanish olive oil, as Spain has most strict controlled production processes.

“Cold press Extra virgin” is a bit of marketing nonsense: Extra virgin is always /can only be cold pressed.

The only right way is to buy olive oil, directly from your nearest local producer who makes it with passion.

Every industrialized oil is simply crap.

In Europe, there are small boutique importers of quality olive oils, made by passionate producers in Italy, Greece, Spain.
