In this new world, I think we might need to have to be prepared to leave out homeland, if push comes to shove. So as to save our childrens lives.
I have had to do this more than once in my life when younger. But as we get older we have more to lose – we have worked so hard for what we have, it's a tough choice to decide if/when to leave it all behind.
Who doubts that if somebody can enslave you, eventually will?
Therefore it is legit and advisable protecting your value the best possible way. Go figure
I guess that's kind of my thought process too. Even if you can resist a single time, you know they will try again. So, why wait? Why not save yourself now.

I have no delusions about my own abilities or willingness to die. I will absolutely resist until the bitter end, but I am not a fighter. I am more like a turtle. Or perhaps maybe the hare, once flushed from the burrow I'll take off.
It's always been the way I have handled things, but now... there's a lot more at stake, a lot more I stand to lose, it and makes the ultimate descsion so harder to pin down.
Not for me. Beavers build cozy homes that are fortified. You come to place, I will fight to the death. Possibly futile, but I don't GAF at that point.

I have already removed both of those from my life.
But in this case, I am speaking about being directly targeted– threats of violence and/or prison.
Don't pay tax and you become directly targeted with threats of confiscation, violence and imprisonment. I don't see much difference other than the reason.
