Easy to hate on Los Angeles these days but regular events like Ecstatic Dance LA are vibes that are very hard to find elsewhere.

I might be helping a micro-festival with setting up a LAN, partly due to remoteness of the loacation, but also because the theme of the event is about making new, independent, parallel systems.

One of the requirements is an area for coordinating volunteers. I don't have a ton of sys admin experience, but I might be able to set up an instance of Cryptpad. People can use it for chat too.

I was thinking of having a Nostr relay, but don't think the participants will be interested in that ... yet. I think first,, I need to introduce the idea of "Freedom Tech" to that community.

Pretty exciting project you have there, I hope you have a ton of fun. You could totally get a Noster relay running with an allow list specifically for your volunteer team, then get them set up with a client pointed at that relay. I know BudaBit is creating a chat system that might suit your needs
