I think it's a bad idea for umbrel and start9 users to run relays over tor

Leave relay running to the server nerds so that nostr stays fast and reliable

Of course nobody can stop you this is just my opinion

Even haven shouldn't really be run like that, if clients actually started to honor inbox/outbox then UX will be shit when ppl try to read your notes

also users are going to have other relays that can let them be read, and relays that allow reading of events if the npub is a subscriber

personal WoT relays on tor using umbrel listed with nip-65 βœ”οΈ

i think the tor thing is a neat way to traverse the nat, however, its not fast and youre basically sending all your traffic via 3 letter agencies hoping quantum computers never come out.

just think about who is incentivized to run exit nodes..

if there was a nostr native turn server wireguard network, say each relay runs one.. and you hop 2-3 hops, this would be faster and better. so much fun things to build.. πŸ˜
