fear is direction.

Scared of heights/flying - climb, skydive.

Claustrophobic - try diving, caving.

Scared of needles - give blood, do advanced first aid.

It goes on and on.

I certainly feel that fear is a directional thing, and if you run towards it you live in heaven and if you run from it you live in hell.
