Is it just me, or has customer service in America all but disappeared?
Discussion
It has definitely gotten worse.
Even desperately shouting ātalk to a representativeā doesnāt work anymore.
It is FIAT money. It incentivizes monopolies and an illusion of choice. If you have two companies to choose from and they both milk every last dollar from you and train their employees to do the same and your only recourse is to get dicked by the competition instead they will all natural dollar what maximizes profit. Profit comes from treating you like a cash cow not a customer.
šÆā¦Fiat distorts everything. From money to markets to morals. It rewards extraction over service, scale over soul. In a system built on endless inflation, youāre not a customer, youāre the yield.
We're nowhere near the "customer hostility" that I experienced in Russia 15 years ago.
Iām sure itās relative. Weāve truly forgotten how to serve people around us.
Most people today don't care about excellence and don't care about others. That leads to poor customer service because the staff don't care if things aren't done right and don't care about other people. They only care about doing the minimum to keep their job.
Is your wallet working? Zaps are going through
I don't know. I never finished setting up my alby hub, so I supposedly connected a strike lightning wallet, but never tested it to see if it actually worked.
