Socialism works great on a family or maybe even small tribal level.
In a perfect world:
Federal Govt would be Libertarian
State Govt would be Conservative
City:Liberal
And socialist on a family level.

Agreed.
I've said this for many years now. Families structures work well under a socialist/communist system but these systems do not scale.
And they require a benevolent, selfless, sacrificing leaders (parents) that actually love and care about the growth, future and well being of those they are responsible for.
Nations states don't give a f**k about you.

Socialism only works if there is a high degree of integrity, character, and notion of preservation tied to its principles. This is what a family should be. I completely agree.
