Does anyone have some LN vs Nostr numbers? I have a feeling Nostr is now the biggest LN active use in transaction count.

I haven’t seen that specific metric, but #[2] was sharing some stats yesterday from Lightning Tip Bot, and said transaction volume on the bot has quadrupled since zaps were introduced.
I know no solid stats, but that’s got to be the case.
Looks like there are roughly 7,000 zaps/day on Nostr according to Nostr Band.
A few related LN numbers:
- WoS does ~20k LN payments/day
- In the summer, Breez was doing as many payments as WoS (~10k/day)
- River’s LN nodes process ~4k payments/day
One interesting note is that Nostr activity hasn’t meaningfully changed LN public capacity. There does seem to be more payment activity though, so maybe node operators are earning more from routing fees.
Does payment from wos to wos triggers a lightning payment? 🤔🤔

Curious, I’ve noticed it’s more difficult lately to send/receive any sizable amount of sats. (+50k) You experiencing this as well?
All of this zapping will incentivize routing operators to use a base fee, good luck monetizing zaps with PPM...
