Kinda sucks that people still use YouTube to stream instead of zap stream 😢

True, but for streaming no video solutions support a Zap stream yet.
That said, Rumble.com will have a crypto wallet, and will most likely support Bitcoin.
What?
I stand corrected, but the volume of videos there, and the size of the audience is considerably smaller to Rumble, or YouTube.
Why does it matter? Just share the link with your audience.
It matters.
YouTube can stream to millions of people, and has hundreds of millions for an audience.
How big is the capacity of the alternative you shared? Who will find that link?
The people that matter - the people you reach with your social profile.
Your YouTube channel is your social profile. Are you saying that people should do both or not use YT at all? Because completely cutting YT is a great way to reduce discovery to near nothing if Nostr is the only other thing being used. At least if your focus is anything other than Nostr or Bitcoin. Personally, I would try to stream to multiple platforms with a clear bias toward Nostr. I think that's the path to growth anyway.
Nothing stops people from doing both. Plus, YouTube is not the only social profile people have - many share links from other socials when they stream
I meant to say that your channel is your social profile on YT, but I agree with your point either way. I think doing both is an obvious path forward with pretty much pure upside. I'd love to see YT replaced at some point.
another retard here
you are definitely stupid
if you have a big audience you run a big server
but you don't have
are you retarded? what the hell did you expect?
Yep ...
I don't take those people seriously.
For real…
If it’s not easy to use, help the dev improve the service with feedback!
What if you used YouTube to potentially bring people into Zap Stream?
I would certainly do that if my internet speeds were better.
You can. You can forward the stream already to YouTube from zap stream. I don’t know how well that works but that option has been there forever
Testing zaps on this note… we made six attempts to⚡zap this note, at freedomtech@minibits.cash, over a period of about 9 hours. All six attempts were successful. Please check on your end to be sure you received. Average zap time was 4466ms (4.5 seconds). We consider this zap time slow... generally, zaps should complete in under two seconds. (Other Nostr users might think your zaps are broken, might not zap you again.) If you wanted to speed up your zap confirmations, you could try receiving zaps with a well-connected, cloud-based Lightning node.
More people use banks than Bitcoin too. We’re still very early.
With banks you don’t have an option when you can’t pay with bitcoin. We have actual options here.
Probably because YouTube is still the best place to get the most views. If I ran a podcast I'd definitely stream on YouTube and forward stream on zap steam until zap steam gets more popular.
If you want to get popular you definitely need a YouTube account. The masses mostly only use YouTube.
I stream on zap steam and not YouTube simply because it's fun and don't care about getting popular.
Zap stream rocks
i saw the pitch of satsgg the other day https://njump.me/nevent1qvzqqqqqqypzpmx02p4slzahlf7jlcaspsx57g6uc7kl7cc7dvhlsnqtpn6khjj0qy88wumn8ghj7mn0wvhxcmmv9uq32amnwvaz7tmjv4kxz7fwv3sk6atn9e5k7tcqyz4796r59vqajsmv4nktwfzjlxqppt6ajlmejuc76ut49sregcvxj55utsl
this may not bring users, but you can bring users to the single video, but then if you have more than 10 streams, at the same time, you have to rethink the cards a bit
just a reality if you want to reach an audience outside of this small community. no reason you can't stream to multiple platforms though
