What struck me was how *normal* Germany looked in early 1940s, there weren't even the Nazi-banners everywhere you see in war documentaries (those only appeared in the streets later).
Other than being in black and white, the film looked just like a modern German car video on YouTube with the same scenes of driving through the mountains and an urban area..
As long as consequences are only for the 99%, the 1% will never care about the preservation of the planet & democracy.
They ignore aphorisms like "Don't kill the goose that lays the golden eggs." To their peril.
Aristocracies never cared about famines either, as long as "only" the peasants were starving to death in a famine.
Until it was white kids dying in a pointless war in Vietnam, only then did the privileged care about how Nixon prolonged the war for partisan gain.
