When Hitler rose to power, there were the Soviets who hated Hitler and were willing sacrifice millions of lives to stop Hitler.

Back then, almost everyone I worked with was a "communist" in some fashion. We were dreamers back then. Now tech has been taken over by this current generation of tech bros and it's all about money and power. It's very different now.
For context, starting a tech career in Seattle in the dot-com boom at startups puts a certain focus on my lens for that era in tech. People working for IBM back then, probably have a different view. I don't know, I was always on the open source tip.

I spent the time to learn a new cms - eleventy. My old cms was just too far gone, I had to move on. Even though it took a few hours to figure things out, the dev experience is so much better. My old cms I had to tear down and rebuild docker every time I made a change. And the result is static html, so performance is exactly the same.
