If anyone is wondering why I refuse to zap any of these “fundraising” accounts, this is why. I’ll pay v4v if I like what someone is posting… but I refuse to spend a single zap on sympathy without personally knowing the person.

It's a good reason to be able to veto zap messages from appearing on your notes I think. It lets anyone piggyback and spread their message, even if it's something you don't agree with, or know is a scam. I got quite a few zaps from them, all on notes that were popular. That way the message gets out and is given an air of authenticity by being attached to a known account.
