I stacked my sats this morning and yesterday helped a friend to buy non-kyc btc from an atm. This wasn’t easy! Took 3 atms to find one that didn’t require kyc ($900 limit), had to get a different wallet (Muun) because it wouldn’t work with WoS, and the premium was high ($31,300). She was thrilled to do it though and I helped her transfer it into cold storage. PV!!
I haven't used those Bitcoin ATMs yet. Need to do that just for the experience. I assumed it was just a matter of picking one and feeding money into it.
You do need to input a phone number into all of them so depending on the level of privacy you want, you may want a burner phone. It sends you back a code you input into the atm and then you feed the money in. If you don’t care about kyc, I see zero advantage to using them.
Now that you know which brands don't require anything other than a phone number (use textverified.com for this), you can use CoinATM Radar and search by that brand in your area.

Why does coin flip require KYC now? Can you ask him? I genuinely want to know because they advertise just a phone number. You must scan ID for any amount.

It’s quite probable they just enjoy the extra company.
She for sure does, but I visit her regularly even when she doesn’t need btc help.
Why not just have her pay you, and then you buy the sats on RoboSats? They have an option to send sats to an on-chain address during payout. Just put her address in there and you’ll be good to go.
I have never used Robosats. She also likes the idea of being able to do it herself. It’s a good idea though that I’ll look into and suggest to her.
