I’ve automated the process of orange pilling by running a website and a telegram channel, the feedback is overwhelming and mixed at the same time 😅

We are still early

That’s awesome, what’s the website?

😂 they questioned my financial decision making capabilities & think I am not responsible…

ironically they own nothing and are unhappy.

Bitcoin is just money, not an investment. There is nothing irresponsible about saving money!

Maybe if that clicks for them, they will be more open to it!

but if they save anything then they can’t waste money buying nice shit that breaks and needs replacing 😭

I was just in a public place and heard a country song where the singer brags "all my money goes in my truck".

Initial stages of orange pilling a coworker. It’s difficult not to talk so passionately about BTC because I think I’ve scared some away with that passion, but I find it better to tee them up with information to spark curiosity. Then feed them more when they are ready. Show them examples and lead them to smart unbiased information. I like sending this video by 3brown1blue to newbies: https://youtu.be/bBC-nXj3Ng4

Same, I try to bring it into the conversation like "bitcoin fixes this" or tell them about something cool bitcoin can do. Sometimes just getting them to think about their currencies flaws to get them thinking. Ultimately I think most bitcoiners come in at peak bull market and if fully orange pilled stick around for the long haul (that was me)

Nice! I will try working it into the conversation better in the future.

Bull markets definitely seem like the time when a bunch of people enter and some % stick around. Here’s to even more sticking around this time!

Nice, will add this video to my list!

I agree, it can be really hard not to scare people off with the passion. Some people soak it up and love it and others look at me like I’m crazy 😂

Thanks for sharing, will use this video

a couple of weeks ago.. i think went well but they still trust their government for their money.. they live in the euro zone so not as easy as someone living with weak currency.. although that is also difficult as people in those countries prefer to keep their value in dollars rather than magic internet money

Sometimes it takes a few encounters with Bitcoin for it to really click.

Try sending them to https://bitcoin.rocks/inflation - we have a page on the Euro there!

oh i see… amazing website! you need to add venezuelan bolivar too… :-)

Nice I will add that this week!

This site is fantastic! It just needs translations so I can send it to my Spanish friends, I volunteer if interested!

Right now we are relying on automatic in-browser translations. Is this good enough in your experience?

Not really, “hard or sound money” or “money supply” for example sounds very confusing and non-sense translated literally to Spanish so it can be challenging to understand from my experience.

🍊💊 two people this week after months of them dismissing Bitcoin. I learned that showing them the issues first greatly improves the chance of them listening as opposed to just ranting about how great Bitcoin is.

Pose the issue and ask them what they believe solves it. They’ll either give you an answer that doesn’t actually solve it, or tell you they don’t know. Eventually you get to bring Bitcoin in. And they’ll be willing to listen because they’re already invested in the conversation.

Great tip, I’ll try this!

There are so many people that are so focused on the problem, they forget to look for a solution.

Many aren’t even aware of the problems, that’s why it helps to bring light to those issues.

After that, it’s just leading the horse to water.

I getting tired of waiting, at the watering hole. Thankfully I have my Nostr plebs to keep me company.
