Avoid them, you must trust the mixers because, in order to do the mixes, you have to give them your bitcoin!

Better you use the Coinjoin technology and the best implementation in my opinion is JoinMarket even if it is not the easiest one:

Other solutions can be Wasabi and Whirlpool but I do not recommended them for different reasons.

Thank you, for this insight and contribution. I dont really know much about these mixers, so it's valuable to learn more and different perspectives from experienced folks. Someone had mentioned it to me and then I heart nostr:npub1g0587hzzckcncxfm78n0996qe2s58nspy29wf02tqcj5sdzcpj4q6j40hv mention on a podcast that they are being threatened to be made illegal which she emphasized as not a good thing.

Is this the link you'd recommend I start with learning about conjoin?

Diyana, that is the GitHub link of JoinMarket… try to start from there but the implementation is not so straightforward if you are not a bit technical…

There is JAM that is a nice easy interface to use it but you have to deploy a full node, JoinMarket and JAM.

Probably the easiest way is to use nostr:npub126ntw5mnermmj0znhjhgdk8lh2af72sm8qfzq48umdlnhaj9kuns3le9ll OS that gives a full node, JoinMarket, JAM and many other services:

Wow... Overwhelming. Definitely not this tech savvy. Though, I bet with a bit of hand holding and human walking me through some of this I'd comprehend and get it fast.

You will… and also with time it will become easier and easier… BTW… with StartOS is not that difficult! 😉

With WasabiWallet.io it's not difficult at all. Just receive, wait, and spend, knowing that all the privacy is taken care of by default.

Agreed!

PS: Whitney is amazing! Thank you for everything you do! 🫂🙏🧡

coinjoins.org has the history of the tech, and explains every protocol and implementation.

Why are you not recommending wasabi and whirlpool?

In the end there is a centralized entity to orchestrate the Coinjoin that you have to trust. And both those projects have lights and shadows… X is full of discussions about that also involving the two teams most of the time with hard and bad language… I prefer to use a decentralized system that does not require any third party trust!
