Once I have your attention I start talking about how I believe that parents and caretakers should take personal responsibility and talk to their children about online safety. Please also use the safety tools provided on devices and on social media.

Unfortunately, because children are not being taught online safety well in the home the governments are using the very real problem as a Trojan horse to violate digital privacy rights and erode encryption. All to “solve the problem.” This will violate the human rights of all. There are better solutions available.

That’s just what I like to talk about. I’m down for any conversation about human rights actually. That’s why I’m on nostr, I see it as a human rights tool. 💜

It's far better to arm children with information than any other "solution" we can think of.

Yes and it is not just online safety.

Parents are trying to outsource all aspects of raising their children.

So sad.

There seems to be a crisis where people are not willing to take responsibility for their own lives, choices and actions.
