I do not want to pay the excessive mynode "premium-subscription" fee per year of around $ 110, just to have the basic (no lightning or any other gadgets).

What would you recommend to buy instead (new hardware instead of Rasp4 etc. and / or software) in order to have my own node connected to basic things like onchain txs, mempool, Tor-address for private connections etc.?
