I love to hear that many people are excited about Alby Hub and how they got their lightning node running and how cool it is to use it to zap and do all the crazy things we now do with sats!

But I also need to say: it's still a very long way to go and what will matter is how it performs long term. It needs to get battle tested πŸ˜‰

Can't wait to look back in 6 or 12 months...

We work super hard that you will then be even more excited using the Alby Hub! But only time will tell πŸ˜‰

Are there any video tutorials on how to set up your alby hub / lightning node?? Would love to try and do this

it’s so straight forward even i just did it

but damn I could’ve made a tutorial on it.. fuuuu

I’m sure nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 is already working on it though

The video guides on AlbuHub.com are extremely helpful but a nostr:npub1rxysxnjkhrmqd3ey73dp9n5y5yvyzcs64acc9g0k2epcpwwyya4spvhnp8 always helps too. BTC Sessions the Bob Ross of Bitcoin

Brilliant thank you! Love the bob ross comparison haha

Just thought of it and I love it because it’s so true πŸ˜‚

Should be available very soon

Great news! Syncing my Start9 atm

Sideloading is as easy as downloading, dragging and dropping the file in a box on the Start9 UI.

Yes, I saw that. I think that the "official Marketplace version" has been better tested in terms of compatibility and update functions πŸ˜…

I think it’s the same version but Start9 have vetted it for the marketplace.

I’ve been helping beta test it so I’ve had it running sideloaded for a few weeks and it’s been stable but I totally get waiting for it to be in the marketplace.

Just got mine set up the other day - am very satisfied.

After having tried every node package your there, i have to say it's the first one that is actually mass compatible for regular (albeit not non technical) people.

Please add a donation button or notification somewhere, so the self hosters have a low friction way to send you some sats

We used it for the NFT MSP event this weekend and it worked out really well for receiving boosts to the live video feed! It was actually a bit overkill for the amount of liquidity we ended up using.

I've got a good user experience with a self hosted Alby hub. I can't see my closed channels in the UI. On purpose?

it's just still hard to have the useful data on those channels available. and we optimize for not closing channels. So that's why we did not manage to do it so far.
