yes but it is only checkmate if that is white's last piece

and it's still complicated

knight goes to beside the king, king can't take the knight but it can move towards the rook

then, rook moves to the left, and then we are in check, and teh king can't take the rook, but it can move to the white square to the left and knight can't do shit

you may need to study your chess more

knight and rook versus king is a long endgame

it can literally drag on for like 20 moves before someone capitulates
