I'd say you're probably suggesting using bitcoin mining machines for heat in an area where power costs are on a par with mining yield.😃
You'd be correct, even if the rewards are below par. My thought process is this, I was already paying for heat. Now I'm still paying for heat but I'm mining solo so there's a chance I could mine my own block. if that happens then boom I get to help secure the network. heat my home and make a bunch of bitcoin in the process.
I'm a "HeatPunk" i don't care about the hash price.
As long as it doesn't burn my house down...
it won't burn the house down. in fact it's safer and more efficient than most home heat systems. (heat pumps not included)
just finishing up my build. super happy with it and it's completley controllable via. wifi switch and an app.
