nostr:npub1cashappn03s3cl2ljsdntv0v28e2um5lgx4vjctqjt23pcwzjhsqmtdg5l implementation of the #bitcoin Lightning Network is currently unusable with a clear worsening of performance over the last several months.

It was more functional at launch than it is today.

It is easier and quicker to use the main chain if w/d from cash app.

The community looks to the app and the company as a representation for what the future could potentially look like when bitcoin is used for payments.

Do better.

I’m only calling this out because I care. It’s truly out of love.

Do you think it’s possibly a liquidity issue? No idea if they have their own node. I withdrew $5 yesterday through lightning and it went smoothly.

If not, is the one that's still pending actually verified online?

Business tactics lol if we all transfer via lightning lol they make no money 🤣 so they need little gimmicks like this to force on-chain transactions.. ppl will say nah tgats not it but think about it lmao

I personally have not had issues between my node and cashapp. I only have two channels, ACINQ and LNBIG. Looks like most of my cashapp payments come in on the LNBIG channel

My Lightning payments also took hours to process and sometimes got outright canceled. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with the issue and it's nothing on my end.

This seems to be a reoccurring theme regardless of the wallet. . I’ve seen several here have issues with WOS as well. What’s the details of this transaction? Were you trying to move on chain, move to another ⚡️wallet, or was this a transfer from onchain to the Cashapp wallet?

It seems concerning that an organization like CashApp can’t manage to have a functional #lightning implementation. They certainly can do better but maybe it also says a lot about the complexity of the protocol.

I send 1M+ fairly regularly through my node and Cash app and have only had issues twice. That said, the pending transaction bug is pretty annoying and the whole thing could be improved. I’d honestly rather they just admit that there are fees for lightning and make a perfect experience then keep it free and slightly broken

Hey Michael, thanks for the response. I only made the note because I sincerely care about bitcoin and Cashapp. Thanks for looking into this. Both of my pending payments cleared. It took days for one of them to clear.
