I believe the most important is good skin awareness.
The highest rates of skin cancer are in Australia and New Zealand because most of their population are north-europeans descendents. So they are not suposed to live there and their skin is not adapted.

I understand what you mean, but many people's skin is adapted. That's why skin awareness is important, it's a genetical heritage that tells you where you come from.
If I were to permanently live in the African savanna or Norway, then my skin wouldn't be as prepared, and I would need to take extra measures regularly, either by covering my skin, taking supplements, etc.
However, my skin is prepared to handle the average radiation of my region. I have never used sun cream, and if I'm going to be overexposed for whatever reason (during the 5% yearly window where the sun's intensity is above average), a hat and long sleeves are enough.
Totally get that, but we have a generation whose parents applied sunscreen since they were babies, and couple that with being indoors for school and work, its no wonder tolerance is low. I have naturally good skin for the sun, but did need to some work to bring my tolerance levels to what they should be.
Imagine a world where sunscreen causes cancers. A world where the light from our devices causes cancers and myopia. A world where the sun was actually anti aging, and is preventative against cancer and other diseases. Crazy is me.
