I think that we’re getting an influx of new comers via Nostr (but not only) who have only experienced Lightning.
We need to help them learn on-chain so they can properly store and manage their Bitcoin.
I’m already seeing some evidence of that.
Interesting. When I came aboard a couple months ago it seemed to me that most were pretty Knowledgable already VS what I saw on Twitter
It’s great to see the community growing but that does come with challenges
Self custody and accountability is such a major deterrent of mass adoption, we need to get this right

I hold 99% in cold storage, the other 1% is lightning

At first I thought wow, that ratio is really low on the lightning side… then I looked at my own stack, I’m about the same. Nostr has made me value sats denominated in hundreds as way more valuable then they used to be.
i hold 80% BTC in cold wallet , and the remaining 20% for lightning.. 🤙🏼⚡
