I'm trying so hard to reconcile the numbers in such a way that "casual mining" without access to free electricity is profitable, but the sad fact is that it's just not. :|

I have free-ish electricity (solar), but live in URSS 2.0, so hardware is expensive as hell.

Realized I used the acronym in Portuguese. It should be USSR.
I think the trick is to be building out your off grid... grid... and do the mining when you're not drawing at max output. That way the energy cost is what you planned anyways.
