Collected yesterday, lots of frozen sap so my numbers are skewed. Sap was at 3.5brix. That's a lot less work for my RO to process. I think I can get close to 7brix before I start boiling. Building the new and improved bitcoin mining sap heater today.

Got all collected yesterday. 768 taps this year. 2nd collection, average about 1.5 gal/ tap(some .5 some overflowing) and my sugar is great range 2.2 brix to 2.9 brix.

freezing: poor man's RO. Great numbers. I had a bad morning, transferring some syrup and walked out of shop and forgot. lost 5-6 gal. finished but not filtered yet. at least I didn't burn a pan.
I spoiled two full collections of sap last season. It's painful but valuable lessons and feedback. Looking forward to starting the boil. Don't have an evaporator built yet, but maybe I'll rig something up before the month is over. Feeling like it's going to be a sort run this year.
