Solar at scale is a horrific idea. But small scale its epic. We are 100% solar with a battery - which i think of as simply paying for your electricity upfront in bulk - and i cannot tell you how good it os for your nervous system to not have to think about it.

My wife msgd me while i was traveling to CR and we lost power around in our area, so a friend was coming over to our place because we were unaffected.
