What’s your average monthly milk intake?
Discussion
I buy 8 gallons of raw milk every 4 weeks and I personally drink about half, maybe a little more. So at least a gallon a week.
Nice
What about you? I saw you post about getting some raw milk too the other day.
Currently ~5gal a month on my own.
I need a bigger fridge.
Do you have a preference in the type of milk a1, a2, etc?
In theory I like the idea of A2 milk better. The place I go has a majority Jersey cows which are A2, but I believe they also have a Holstein or two so I’m probably getting a little bit of both. As long as it isn’t boiled it’s probably pretty good for you lol.
I personally have no preference.
But believe the farm I go to is all Holstein, I will ask the next time I’m there.
They also sell another’s farms milk which is Jersey but they sell out of that really quickly and other it in on Mondays.
The Amish store that I go to sells both all the time but the prices are much higher, but also haven’t been skimmed of the cream.
1/2 gallon of raw milk a week from the creamery down the road
Nice
It’s really good
Since it’s a creamery, do they make raw ice cream?
No the only thing they do is raw milk. They were sold out today I haven’t been able to recover from the disappointment yet 😂
Shucks
Do you have a preference in the type of milk a1, a2, etc?
Personally not too much (only really drink it in tea, about four cups a day) but we have two kids so at least sixteen litres / 4 gallons a month from Costco.
I drink so much more milk then I do now. I actually used to only drink creamer when I was younger too.
What’s the current price at Costco for milk?
I’m in Canada, so valued in the Northern peso approximately $5.50 per 4L.
Thank you I appreciate you response.
I pay $6 for raw milk at the farm & $8-9 at a store for the only milk I’ll drink from there.
0.
Do you not like/tolerate milk?
