Less than 1% of Americans are violent criminals.

Jail them for life or execute them and we can all live in peace.

Simple.

Maybe, but I'm prone to think that putting a bandage over the wound isn't addressing the root issues. Simply bandaging over the would allows the wound to fester. It has to get cleaned out entirely to avoid infection.

What are the root issues?

I could list a number of them, but ultimately they all seem to boil down to the same thing: ego.

When an honest man finds himself to be mistaken, he either ceases to be mistaken or he ceases to be honest. There are no other choices.

You're a Bitcoiner. You've probably watched The Big Short over a hundred times like we all have. Why do we do that?

Because the world is full of people who are full of shit and asleep at the wheel, masquerading as informed and competent and watching The Big Short is an entertaining reminder that falling for the bandwagon logical fallacy or the appeal to authority logical fallacy gets you rekt.

Fallacies are lies. Government and religious schools don't teach their future economic cattle discernment subjects like logical fallacies. They teach students what to think, not how to think.

The world is full of people who struggle to identify lies as lies due to lack of discernment. These same people project their own shortcomings onto everyone else because that's easier than acknowledging the proof of work of others. The ego doesn't like to acknowledge that others have done better so it resorts to self-deception...more lies.

When people learn how to be honest, we will be much closer to peace, however psychopaths are still a wellspring of chaos that will require ongoing vigilance so no matter what solutions are offered, this is an infinite game. Old players die out and new players are born and some percentage of those will be psychopaths.

Ultimately, a global standard of sound money coupled with a perspective that unites many competing religious and esoteric traditions, through science, can still a lot of the strife. Both domino chains are already in motion. How far each goes is up to us.

I stopped reading after a few words, when I realized you were making a retarded metaphor. Do you have a real sentence or two to explain why killing violent criminals is bad, or why I should pay for court and prison (repeatedly) for violent criminals?

Think of crime as noise distorting the signal of societal progress.

1. I'm not saying that we shouldn't remove distortions.

2. I am saying that distortions will naturally reoccur so even if some broad sweeping measure is attempted and is successful, that doesn't stop new psychopaths from being born.

3. The underlying cause could be described in many words but most of them lead back to ego. When people learn how to keep the ego in check, we will have less dishonesty. That'll help a lot. There's a great paucity of honesty on this planet, including intellectual dishonesty.

4. Given that many Bitcoiners are wealthy enough to afford to homeschool, it also seemed like a good opportunity to point out that religious and government schools don't give students robust discernment and that is intentional. Not only is that a major hurdle for us to overcome if we are to change the world, it is something we must guard against propagating to the next generation.

5. I always have a firearm within arm's reach and that's just what's within arm's reach. I recommend everyone else do the same. Power is a virtue. Having the power to overcome an attacker is a virtue. The question is, once you've overpowered your attacker, do you balance out your power with mercy?

Frankly, I can't condone the death penalty but I have no problem with banishment or even "banishment packs" of nations or territories who afford one another reciprocity when a banishment has been issued.

You don't have to kill. You don't have to interact with them at all. You can ship them to some remote as fuck area and say "Good fuckin luck. Ain't nobody around for 500 miles in any direction. Nobody wants you so you can be here now because this place sucks and nobody wants to be here."
