Yeah, been tweaking my relays the past few days and am surprised by how much the experience changes.
I wanna tweak too, the Global feed kills me…

It's can go from crawling and crashing due to out of memory into extremely fast.
Agree there. I've been mobile today and Amethyst is crawling slow. I must have a bad relay that needs to be culled.

First, great job on the Android client, that I'm using right now! I wasn't impressed a few days ago, when I couldn't load anything, but today the experience is almost flawless. I didn't change my relay settings though. But which ones would you recommend?
What's are some resources on how to select relays?
The Gossip desktop client has a different approach. It will connect to relays for you based on which relays the people you're following post to, in order to grab just their notes.
This way the user only needs to configure which relays they want their own posts to be written to, which doesn't need to be that numerous.
Global feeds might be impacted by this, but I'm not sure people are using it as much with the recent influx of new users. It's too busy.
Would be great. Got an inpatient colleague to try Amethyst. She installed it. Didn't find me after 10sec. Uninstalled the app. Unfortunately most people are lazy and impatient.
💯 I'm using 3 paid relays now and while I don't want to suggest that people must do this, the Amethyst experience has certainly been boosted.
