Yup I managed to double my followers in less than a month.. it was actually 2 weeks..🙄
I’ve been thinking about what npub1r0rs5q2gk0e3dk3nlc7gnu378ec6cnlenqp8a3cjhyzu6f8k5sgs4sq9ac said to me and posted before. “follower count is a disease”. Some how I do get his point:
Bcs in the end it’s not relevant which amount of people is following you. Rather have 10 loyal people follow you, than a bunch of random people just reposting for the promised 3K Sats.
I will admit I got a little bit enthusiastic when I reached 200 followers in such a short time, also it was a long time ago since I used any social media, I canceled all of the centralized crap 4 years ago.
So Nostr was the 1st time back on a ‘social media’ platform. And what an amazing experience it was! No bullshit, any gov propaganda, advertising or censoring ‘other opinions’.
Instead I found lots of shit posting, #zapathon #plebchain and memes, intriguing discussions, but most importantly lots of people working hard and developing the platform making the world a better place and building the future right in front of our eyes. Great initiatives seen from npub10pensatlcfwktnvjjw2dtem38n6rvw8g6fv73h84cuacxn4c28eqyfn34f and npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m and many more.
I also found a lot of people who are in to #philosophy #art #plants #prepping and #racing I share all those interests as well ! #grownostr
It’s been a good month in here and I feel at home💜🫂 been missing exactly this since the pandemic hit. I know maybe not all of you here feel the same way. But 2020 was a real turning point for me.
I’m happy to see we can sent value for value these days. Without any interference from law makers/ gov or a payment processor taking 10%. Interacting with the ⚡️lightning network like this is just an amazing experience and ⚡️enlightening for many.
The fight isn’t over, I think we just barely scratched the surface of what’s possible, and I don’t expect a smooth transformation either, from the old system into the new. It could take a long time.. but it’s worth the fight.
Bcs the old system is way overdue, it’s rotting away right under our #footstr. It’s a shame realy at so many points. I encounter many examples every day where you can see the FIAT decay staring you right in the face.
I would be terrified and hopelessly lost if it wasn’t for #bitcoin🙏 I’m very gratefull it crossed my path at the right moment. I’m also very gratefull to the community for convincing me back in 2018 with their solid belief in Bitcoin. They had willpower and conviction, the unbreakable backbone and they showed me the difference from the shitcoin casino’s. Thank you guys for waking me up🫂
So this is my way of giving back to the community. Enjoy zapping your Sats ⚡️ Spent them wisely. Or not. It’s all up to you.
