I read it as "Chinese boards"

I'm still confused tho

What kind of savage takes a cheese board to go?

Uncultured savages who hate the kitchen prepping them.

It's not that big of a deal, but when you have several of them hanging, we have to put everything in tiny little plastic containers, and it's just that much more effort to get them out the door.

have heard of dudes with jerky in the pockets...

might chose to stay ignorant about the cheese dudes πŸ˜…

So, like for instance, our standard cheese board comes with nuts, an assortment of fruits, a bunch of different crackers, some bread, jam, and whatnot, which we usually just set loose on the cheese board. But when we have to do it to go, each one of the separate items needs their own little plastic container and whatnot when getting put into the box to go.

This sounds incredibly annoying. πŸ˜‚

It's not really a big deal until you get like five or six of them hanging at once.

So this is your job?

One of them, I cook part time for a living. Do web development for the rest of it.

The kitchen I work in is technically a small bistro attached to a wine shop, so most of our food is really just wine pairings.

It's actually been kind of nice to work here because in general I know Jack shit about wine, so it's been a nice experience to learn more about the art of pairing wine with food.

I’m still dumbfounded at the concept of a take-out cheese board. Seems like it would ruin the entire experience. If I ran the shop I’d have to crack down on such tomfoolery.

Yeah, it's definitely the most annoying thing we do to go. Doesn't help that today is a football day, so we get a lot of to-go orders.

It’s a very uncultured attempt to act cultured.

Cheese does start with a culture though - I’ll get my coat…
