How about influencers do something useful with their popularity... How about we tell kids that it's cool to wear coats.

We have a 12 and 14 year old that REFUSE to wear their coats. Real life conversation this morning before school - "daughter, please put on a coat, you're wearing a thin shirt" "it's fine Mom, it has sleeves, I won't be cold"

This would be a much better use of your popularity than teaching my 12 year old daughter about new make-up trends

If I hear "it's viral" one more time.... I'm going to lose it 😂😂😂

Oh the joys of teens, the struggle is real 🫂

🙏😂🤣

😂

I have a picture dressed in all of chandlers clothes. hahaha

Let them feel the pain of their choices.

As a kid, I had a high metabolism. I never got cold & hated dragging around a coat that I didn't need.

The only time I ever force them to wear a coat is if we're going to be outside in the cold for extended periods of time. But if we're just going in and out of the car to a store or they're walking down to the bus, I don't force them to wear a coat. Forcing them to live with their consequences has not made one bit of a difference though LOL

This is the correct way!

I’m still telling my 18 year old to put on a coat but only if it’s below 32 degrees. Otherwise I let her do her thing. Some battles aren’t worth fighting after awhile.

Here is the free parenting course I got from a friend. After teaching young children for nine years I can agree 100% with these methods. Also I would recommend the book "Positive Discipline" by Dr. Jane Nelsen.
