mom goes to make food and comes back with a plate and sets it in front of kid.

mom: I made you some food. it's really good. eat.

kid: I said I didn't want to eat.

mom: well, you really should but I'm not gonna make you.

mom leaves and goes about to do other mom things.

she returns some moments later...

mom: well, if you're not gonna eat it. I'll have a few bites.

kid watches and then starts to eat also.

kid: mmm this is really good. I guess I was hungry after all.
