People recording people recording people recording people….

I’m okay with people recording concerts—do whatever you want (though I don’t understand how they enjoy concerts by watching through their phones). But I hate it when I can’t see the stage because there are a bunch of phones in my view, sometimes even tablets.

I’m not saying I don’t take photos, but I usually do it just before the concert starts to have memories for the future. Everything else, I want to enjoy in the moment.

But then you can show your kids the thousand blurry videos of flashlights your phone camera can't even capture properly and tell them this is what fun looked like back in your days...

I just don't understand... who even watches the footage back?! terrible audio, shaky video. Just watch the damn concert 🤣

It's more important to share on social media that you are cool at the concert than actually enjoying the moment

this is exactly it, it's the social checkmark, points system.

"look everyone, I'm living an exciting life, you should be envious!"

So true.

While some are flexing on Instagram and Snapchat, I've noticed that others will upload full sets on YouTube. A good way to learn new tracks and techniques, believe it or not. There's far less people (sometimes none) taking their phones out at small venues and underground sets, too
