I thought long about this over the weekend, as I visited some WWI internment camp memorials in the Canadian mountains. Immigrants from Eastern Europe were placed in work camps, not for being found guilty of a crime, but because they were "more likely" to be sympathetic to our adversary.
What happens if btc is framed as the currency of an adversarial state? Then those who hold it could be deemed as an enemy of the state. This is a narrative that I believe is possible, and one that a majority of people could believe.
If this happens, the state that pushes bitcoin out will eventually cease to exist due to capital flight.

In my scenario, the majority of people still believe in the state and are convinced that bitcoiners are enemies of the state.
We will see. Hopefully, not.
