You see it, Jeff. We do too.

Ty for sharing!

Excited to listen to this one!

Just finished it. Good stuff! Thank you.

🙏

Thank you for your insights. As a bitcoin OG, we didn’t have the high level thinkers like you, Saylor, Breedlove, et al to put everything into proper context…folks these days have a huge leg up when it comes to grokking bitcoin.

Thank you! As a Bitcoin OG, you may be a higher level thinker than me 😀

Au contraire, mon frere! I read a slashdot.org article in 2010 and thought “hey, maybe someday this bitcoin thing can help some future kid avoid the struggles I had before being old enough to get a bank account to keep my cash secure.” And so I “generated” coins with my laptop…it was 100% heart and 0% forethought…I still lived as a fiat mind-slave…couldn’t see the bitcoin of today back then _at all_

Thanks Jeff. Love your work. I think Nik is right. When second book? 🤣

“What #Nostr really is… is a decentralized web with Bitcoin built in at the base layer… It has massive implications… Nostr itself is a protocol level of technology… The change since [I joined] is staggering… It won’t just be a Twitter client; it will replace YouTube, GitHub… People early on in that network effect ride the wave of growth… That network effect can go on forever, and that value accrued goes to me forever, to users forever.”

#[3] - worth a listen.

Amazing interview! 😍 Just zapped you! ⚡

🙏

You got me on Nostr with your Bhatia interview.

Wonderful. You care so much. It radiates.

Thank you Jeff for opening my eyes to more implications of Nostr and Bitcoin. You consistently bring your A-game and I appreciate it!

Great work Jeff & Nik. Gratitude to you guys sharing for us plebs. ⚡️

Got my eyes more open to this paradigm shift happening. 🧡🙂🙏

Thank you Jeff! I’m very grateful for everything I have learned from you!

Interesting discussion Jeff. Do you think that there will be more ppl that care about decentralisation in the future or less? 🤔Cc #[1]

Justed watched this, it's why I'm on nostr now :). tnx man

Thank you Jeff! I listened to it last night before I went to bed and actually kept me up longer. Lol Didn’t think about Nostr taking over YT GH and some of these other centralized platforms. It really got my wheels turning about being some of the first on these decentralized platforms and the possibilities.

Thanks Josh!

Fascinating to hear your strength of feeling towards this platform. You always give a me a new perspective ✌️

Awesome job, Jeff, with thanks for all you do.

I never joined social media prior to nostr, fearing for my freedom and privacy. I followed a handful of key people (like you) only, looking in from the outside.

My connections on nostr are growing by the day. The world is getting stronger.

Thank you #[2] . An excellent podcast that sparked this thought for me:

.

Nostr allows for distributed entrepreneurship.

Big tech companies have no incentive to invest in locking a user base in a distributed value-sharing protocol since the users can seamlessly migrate with their data to the next value supplier.

This allows many micro-entrepreneurs to cater to the audience previously crowded out by said big tech. The network rapidly judges these many small products by their value to and interconnection with the entire network of users and other products. This distributed entrepreneurship process increases value for all at an ever-increasing rate.

This was a great podcast. I’m very excited about nostr.

You have a gift sir! We are are grateful for your ability to explain the future before most can see it.

🙏

Really enjoyed this one

Great lesson in Nostrnomics. Thanks guys!

What prevents the NOSTR protocol from being corrupted or monopolized by companies/governments the same way other communication protocols like HTTP and SMTP have?

Bitcoin being integrated as a monetary base.

My name is Matt & I'm down with that! #LFG

I’m not so sure about that Jeff. I’d sell here.

The NOSTR protocol, or any other decentralized protocol for that matter, is designed to operate in a trustless manner without relying on any central authority or single point of control. This is achieved through the use of consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and peer-to-peer networking.

In this context, it would be very difficult for any single entity, whether it's a company or a government, to monopolize or corrupt the NOSTR protocol. Any attempt to do so would require the control of the majority of the nodes in the network, which is highly unlikely given the size and global distribution of the relays like the Bitcoin network.
