He lost me when he got his panties in a twist about Marty asking about Will Mccaskill and the connections to SBF
He interacted with Marty? On X I assume..
This was a while ago. Marty says he was listening to his pod with McCaskill, Mr. Effective Altruism (moderately high probability of being MI6 and SBF's handler) and in the middle of his listening the pod got taken down by Lex. Marty called him on it on X and got blocked
Other weird vibes:
1. He has a weird way of drawing an association with MIT even though it was like a walk in guest lecture or lecture series. He went to Drexel which is a good school but is obviously puffing up his resume and trying to memory hole that fact. I am always wary of guys that come out of no where.
2. No way you're doing rigorous research and a prolific podcaster. No doubt what he has built is impressive but there's no way he's pursuing engineering/science while pumping out pods like that.
Spot on. He’s developing all kinds of complexity-adjacent-robotic-look at me with all the equations behind me kinda thing while cranking out 3-8 hour podcasts (what a drag that is). Makes me think of Eric Weinstein and his physics ramblings with nothing to show for it
I never trusted that guy. His rise to fame was suspicious, just throwing softball questions to big names. Interviews were not good. The whole thing screamed spook. Unfortunately Rogan has followed down the same path.
